Moo Deng translates into “bouncy pig” or “bouncy pork” and is the name of a special type of meatball native to Thailand. Fans on social media point out that the baby hippo’s name is appropriate, as she is constantly seen slipping, bouncing, prancing, jolting, jiggling and instigating in live feeds and videos shared by the zoo.

GMM Music, one of Thailand's largest music companies has released a song for viral baby Pygmy hippo Moo Deng.

The Khao Kheow Open Zoo worked with composer Mueanphet Ammara to create a song worthy of the beloved hippo. The Associated Press says that the song, aptly named Moodeng Moodeng was released in four languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, and of course Thai.
